With Foosball Manager you will be a Trainer/Manager into the world of Professional Foosball.
You'll have many chances to measure yourself with other players and climbing the charts for the official and amateurs competitions.
Beside being the coach (players will follow your tactic hints and your gameplay), you will have to organize training sessions, events participation and trade players on the market if there are any available... basically you will be the boss of the house!
There are many many other things to discover, about which you'll fine an explanation later on.
When you register you'll get a group of very bad players, not so much demanding economically. It's all you can afford at this time, now that you've just jumped into this foosball world.
Every player, beside his own technical skills, has his own personality, experience and behaviour as well: all of these are fundamental things able to determine gameplay, and out-of-the-field behaviour.
You'll need to have a minimum of 2 players with a valid contract (otherwise you won't be able to play any game), and a max of 6 players.
When you reach those 2 limits you can't fire of hire any other players.
Playing frequently helps remaining fit, on the other hand long periods of inactivity lead to a loss in brilliancy.
There's an automatic system for friendly matches, it's also possible to plan long time in advance. This system doesnt require too much effort and lets you test and maintain fit also possible spare players( see Friendly paragraph).
Familiarizing yourself with the game is the main thing, but that won't be enough to express the full potential of the player, so please read also the following paragaphs.
If you are focused you will not suffer the opponent's nervous attitudes and the public, you will notice more easily the inappropriate behavior of opponents.
A great experience will be used to exploit certain situations to your advantage.
Morale rises and falls during a season. Winning official matches increases self-esteem, conversely losing will lower morale.
In the Training Center will have the opportunity to increase their mood and socialize with other players. You can choose how to behave week after week:
- Stay on your work: Earn a bit concentration.
- Socialize with the players and frequents the bar: you lose a bit concentration and morale rises slightly.
- Raise your elbow and make rumpus: the morale rises, but loses more concentration. Also you have the 30% chance to get drunk.
When a player gets drunk, he gains more moral, but he loses a lot of concentration. He also have the 33% chance to miss the next training.
Performance and Overall
The fitness, morale, concentration and the experience affect on the ability of players during the game.
There is a player icon that indicates the average level of morale, fitness and concentration who can help you assess the current status of a player.
A dishonest player will tries moves to the limit (and beyond) the regulation.
Playing hard can result from the advantages in terms of result, but you can lose training and experience.
With a low experience will be detected more easily by the referee, and you will be penalized. Even an focused opponent may notice a foul and to draw attention of the referee.
If nobody sees the foul, you will receive a bonus on your performance
Higher aggressiveness means that the player will be more inclined to commit acts likely to unsettle the opponent and its concentration.
With lack of experience you will be caught easly and there will be adverse effects on performance.
The public focusing attention on the best, based on the results obtained in the field.
Each week, managers gain fame on the basis of performance in the championship and Cup. Placing in the top positions of highest Series are good for the popularity, as well as winning a championship or a cup.
For each player you can set the percentage with which to do some kind of action depending on the ward is located in the ball.
You can play balanced if you set values around 30% / 40%. You may prefer one type of game in particular: for example shooting from defence.
Remember that the sum of the values for each department must be 100%.
The defender may choose to prefer the direct shots, shots of the bank, or a mixed style
It 'a shot fired strongly on the edge of field in order to give the ball a trajectory unpredictable. Not skills are required to perform a Big Bounce, but the chance of scoring is low.
May still be useful when the opponent is technically superior, but to use many bounces could cancel the opportunity to gain experience and skills from the game.
Each player is characterized by some abilities that will allow him to play better or worse in certain situations and areas.
The skills grow with the training (see section on Training) and you can select from time to time the department and what skills improve.
Is the ability to make a shot on goal with force and precision, trying not to be intercept the ball from the opposite player. The probability that the ball reaches its destination after a shot depends on the hitter skill (Shooting and Side Trick) and the ability of those who try to intercept.
The bank shot from defence are hard to do, but hard to catch. But, shot after shot, you become predictable.
It's a slow pass to the most advanced department. The chances of success depends on the player skills (Passing and Side Trick) and the ability "Intercepting" of the opponent.
The probability that the attacker manages to hook the ball and to pull the fly depends on the Intercepting skill of the striker.
Pulling the fly increases the chance of scoring based on ability of those who is passing and the ability "Intercepting" of the attacker.
A pass from defense is always hard to block for the opponent attacker.
When the defender passes the ball, the midfielder tries to take it on the fly to throw or set a triangulated pass toward the attacker.
The probability of taking the ball changes based on ability to intercept of the midfielder.
If you can't take it, the ball continues its path toward the attacker, but the opponent midfielder will easier blocks the passage that comes from the defense.
The higher the skill the more likely they block the passes and the shots of the opponent.
The "Intercept" skill also influences the likelihood of recovering a loose ball.
The probability of being able to hook a ride coming from the rear depends on the "Intercept" of those who try the game on the fly.
The best way to improve skills in a game like table football is the constant practice.
The players gather daily in training Centers to play, train and learn new techniques. Are sites with large rooms and hundreds of tables available free to subscribers to the Center.
Once entered, the player will start to attend the Center and follow their activities.
Each week the players of the Training Centers are divided into groups of 4 players each, in order of ranking, and they play games that are valid for the internal T.C. ranking.
Who makes the best score in the first group will be the winner of the tournament, all the others will fight for higher positions.
From the Training Center page you can see the statistics of the last played tournament in order to experience new tactics and to study trends over 3 consecutive games.
Twice a week will be donated Skill Points to your players. You can assign Skill Points directly into your player page.
The Skill Points required to upgrade a skill varies depending on the level of skill: in fact, improve their skills at a low level is faster and easier, while at high levels is more difficult.
You are not required to immediately assign the Skill Points just earned by training, but there is a Skill Points Cap, after which the player cannot benefit further from the effects of workouts.
The younger players learn more quickly than a fellow of middle age.
When a player is 40 years old the effects of training will be much reduced, and will continue to decline year after year until, when he's 45 years old, the skills begin to decline gradually, more after the 55 years of age.
Level of training
You can choose the intensity of training for each player in pink. More focus on training = more skill points. If, however, he's devoted to the preparation of the game, he gets a slight improvement during the games.
You can change the percentage of training every 7 days, and it does not affect the advanced training and the work of the trainers.
Each Training Center has its own Internal Rank.
Joining a T.C. each player receives a basis score. From that moment on every match played between two players of the same training center, friendly or official, will influence the ranking of that two players.
If a player leaves the center and then decides to return, he re-takes the ranking he had left.
Training Center Popularity
The popularity of a Training Center depends on the popularity of its members earlier in the season
Not everyone can afford to devote much of their life to the table football. Champions often do not know they are good players and they just play with friends in some tavern in the village below.
Once a week you can search a young talent hidden in some bars in the city.
If you identify a "not so wretched" player, you can try to convince him to play for you in exchange for a minimum contract.
You can search a player in any of the known Training Centers, he will have not more than 35 years.
You can rent a space reserved within your Training Center. It will house your Foosball so you can use it as a official field without having to share it with all members. (see at Foosball paragraph)
Registration fee and Weekly rate
The price for the registration fee and the weekly rate will vary based on the Training Center popularity.
You can send a player (only one at a time) to a "Foosball Baba" in order to improve and learn new technical skills.
The Baba will teach the Advanced Skills for a number of weeks, after which the new skill is acquired (or improved). During the training period the player will not receive skill points to assign to the "regular" skills.
Should it be sold or terminate the contract with the current coach, the player will ends the period established for the training, and he receives the bonuses that would have been acquired regularly.
The effectiveness of the training varies depending on the age of the player, and gets a small random adjustment at the end of each training session.
To learn an Advanced Skill just meet the minimum requirements for only one of two departments (Defense or Attack). Once learned, it will be acquired for any position in the field. For example, if a Defender learns the Side Trick due to its defensive skill, he can use that skill even if positioned as a striker; although it will be less effective given the probable lack of skill in Attack.
After learning some advanced skills, must pull it up quite well so that the player can use it easily and with consistent effects. With a low skill level the player will tend to avoid making moves at the limit of its ability to prevent disasters, and its effects will be running low.
Whenever a player makes an Advanced Skill, the opponent will learn something about the way he play, and over time during the game he manages to render less effective our efforts (this only affects the following advanced skills: Bicycle, Doublet, 3-5, Napoletana and Advanced Side Trick)
Baba are all equal. You can change the Training Center at will without affecting the advanced workout.
A player who don't knows how to use the sides of the field becomes predictable. With this skill a player takes familiar with the football table and he acquire the technique needed to learn new shots and tactics.
Effects: Depending on the level, this skill allows access to certain Advanced Skills
Advanced Side Trick
Playing with sides is not enough. Be quick and precise!
With this ability Attackers and Defenders easily goes able to pull and move the ball from one player to another, and makes side-tricks and technical shots
Effects: some time, depending on the level of skill, the player will try to make an Advanced Shot
The defenders can refine their technique with fast passages, feints, trade with goalkeeper and tricks of all kinds.
Effect: Improves the possible shot following a series of feints. The bonus given to the execution of this technique continues and eventually it accumulates..
An expert Defender learns best placements and countermeasures against the technical shots of the opponents. It should be ready and managed to position itself based on the location of their mate in order to block the shots by the Defense.
Effects: improves the ability to intercept by the defense. Bonus is calculated at each action, it's double against the shots from afar, but it's half against the Advanced Skills.
Play Full Toss
Improves the ability to play on the fly.
Effects: improves volleyed shot after a midfield pass. Improves a little (1/4) even some Advanced Skill such as 3-5, Doublet, Napoletana, Bicycle and Side Tricks.
When the Defender shots, the Attacker tries to intercept the ball with a "counter-shot" on the fly.
To be able to make a Flash you must possess a good level of Advanced Skill "Flash" as well as a good value Intercept to Attack, unless you play against sketchy players.
Effects: When the Attacker intercepts a shot of the Defender, it could run a Flash. Flash = Sure Goal!
One of the most spectacular Skill, is very effective if combined with the surprise-effect. It's a backwards pass from the Attacker to the Midfield that it makes a volley shot
Effects: If successful, the bonus given to the midfielder's shot is better than the bonus of the Bycicle or the Doublet, but it's performed less frequently.
Intentionally throw the ball on the opposing defense, which is placed and it closed spaces, to get it back slightly shifted in order to have open space for shooting.
Variation: instead of the defender we could throw the ball on the midfield opponent (which has the men lowered to intercept a possible 3-5).
Effects: the shot that comes from the 3-5 is harder to intercept than a normal throw from that position.
Intentionally throw the ball on the side of the goalkeeper to get it back quickly back on center court that will have space for the shot because the position of defense will puzzled.
Effects: If the action succeeds the shot will be harder to intercept for the Defender.
The more difficult and effective Skill. Quickly launch the ball around the side and take the ball with a volley central and than shot again against the side, towards the door.
Effects: a player will attempt this action more rarely than the other Advanced Skills, but the shot will be much more difficult to intercept.
League and Cup
As soon as you sign on Foosball Manager you will be enrolled in a league and (perhaps) to a cup. The games are organized and scheduled automatically every few days.
You can arrange friendly matches with anyone, anytime.
If you want to challenge a specific player you have to go in its own page and choose "Challenge this player" from the Actions menu. Your opponent will have to accept before the agreed date, otherwise the game will be canceled.
Between friendly and friendly must pass at least 48 hours.
Otherwise you can rely on automatic organization of friendly matches.
You just need to select a time when you are available, and the system will find another player with the same availability.
The "period of availability" must be a minimum of 24 hours and must respect the limits of of the friendly matches organization.
Experience and Training
After each game the players gain Experience and Concentration bonus.
The friendlies games give a smaller bonus.
Abusing of "big-bounces" or making incorrect moves may lead to the annulment of the bonus earned in the game or in training.
The games, in Foosball Manager as in the best tournaments, is played by teams of 2 players: the most outstanding player holds the defenders and the goalkeeper (Defense Department), the other player moves the midfield and the attack.
You can select for each match the best Line Up.
The player deployed in defense will use his skills of Defense; the player deployed as a forward will use the skills of advanced departments: Midfield and Attack..
In the Training Centers Tournaments it will be used your default Line Up.
If you don't set a Line Up for a particular game, it will be used your default Line Up.
If your default Line Up is incomplete, the System will select 2 random players.
This tactic involves only the defense and the midfield line.
The two players are positioned in order to block the shots coming from the rear opponents, but they will be less ready against the opponent passing.
Otherwise you can order the players to ignore the position in order to focus on opponent passing. So, it will be easier for your opponent to score with a shot from a distance.
With the neutral tactic you can adapt to the opponent game style.
Note: The attacker must always play to block the possible shot of the defender, there isn't a good countermoves against a pass by the defense and you cannot threaten to uncover the defender for an easy shot. So the attacker is excluded from this tactic.
As for the Line Up, you can set the tactics game for game, or select a default tactic.
Score acquired by default
If either of the challengers do not have enough players available to play a game, he lose 10-0 and can not get training or play the T.C. tournament. <br />
If both players give forfait, they do a default 9-9, but bearing the malus as if they had lost.
It exists, in a testing version, the graphical display of the game. At the moment it seems that Firefox does not works the best.
The League Classification is calculated by counting 3 points per win, 1 point for a draw.
If two or more player get the same number of points, we calculate the classification based on direct clashes.
While the firsts and the lasts of the rankings are promoted / relegated immediately, the following 4 teams get the Playoffs.
With Foosball Live you can follow up to 5 games at once!
When the game is in progress you will be automatically updated every minute on the outcome. By clicking on [+] you can see the live news.
To add a game to the "live" just click on the link "Foosball Live" on the game page or click the icons on the calendar.
A good player who knows his table football will takes advantage of the particular game side, the imperfections, the measures...
Not enough to buy a foosball table, you need a place in order to place it and use it as your official field: this place is the Training Center.
When you buy a foosball table, it will placed in your inventory, and from there you can select it as your official field.
If you want a reserved space where you can play alone or with a few friends you can rent one at your local Training Center.
A reserved space allows you to keep in good condition your playing-field for so long.
If you do not have a reserved space you have to leave your table football public and available to the Training Center players. You pay nothing but people will have access to your foosball table that will be consumed much earlier.
Each player can have one or more Foosball, but he must indicate only one as "Official"
The higher the quality of table football and the less you consume it week after week.
Once past the threshold of 50% of condition, the table football is likely to break every time it is used.
If it breaks, you have just to buy the foosball piece parts and replace the damaged part, but when the table reaches very bad conditions, the risk is that the field becomes unusable forever.
You must be careful not to set a broken Foosball as Official Field or you will be fined
Repair the table football
Clicking on the name of your pitch you can see all the data object, including the condition and any pieces to change.
If the spare part is present in your inventory, then the "Repair" link will appears next the name of the piece broken, just click it and repair the piece!
Repairing a piece does not increase the general condition of the table football, which will continue to go down to 0%, at which time it become unusable forever.
Once a week you'll receive an offer from a sponsor who will offer you some money and sometimes (not always) to play in a sponsored Foosball.
If you accept you are obliged to use it as your Official Field for the duration of the contract, and you can't negotiate deals with other sponsors.
You can leave the sponsored Foosball in the Training Center or you can rent a reserved space like a normal table football. In any case it not be consumed until the contract expires, after which the Foosball will remain in your inventory with the 50% of condition.
At the store you'll find a funny clerk willing to sell you some nice objects: the only useful items at this time are the Foosball and the Replacement parts.

A game in the game!
Whenever you play a round of championship you will be able to participate in a game that tests your skills of analysis and prediction of the Foosball Manager games and players.
You fill out a Pool-Coupon and you have to predict the results of the Premier League matches and some matches of the lower leagues. You must select "1" when do you think will win the home team, "2" if you think he can win the away team, "X" if you think a draw.
Some hours after the end of the matches, the player scores will be calculated and it will be updated the ranking of the predictions.
For each result you guessed it receives 1 point, if you reach 13 points in the same game there will be a cash reward (100€) and 50 bonus points for the standings, with a "12" you get 20€ and 20 bonus points.
You can cancel or modify your Pool-Coupon each time you want before the start of the first match.
In addition to players you can buy (or find in TC) for staff members. Just 3 for each type.
Weekly extra training based on the coach ability .
The technical training is useful to train one or more than one player. The trainer raises one skill by defense, midfield and attack.
The observers are used to gain information on opponents. The more good in skill "Skill Rating" and more information (and more accurate) gain.
Just go to the board of an opposing player (does not work on their own) and click "Watch". Observers note only 1 player at a time and put several days before returning the report.

Foosball and parts
You can modify your personal details and some game options via the Options page, found in the WORLD or TEAM section.
Men color: you can choose any color from those available, but if you play Away and you chose a color similar to your opponent, you'll be assigned a different random.
You can change the name of your team once a season. It will change the games not yet played, while the archived games and old championships will keep the old team name.
From week 8 there is the World Cup with the national teams that have at least 2 players
Selection of players
Each week, automatically, national teams make the selection. In the week 7 the final selection is made, and the players are registered for the competition of the season in progress (if any).
Each nation chooses the 3 best strikers and the 3 best defenders based on the evaluation; only players who have a contract (with a bot too).
Training and strategies
If the rose is complete, ie if there is at least one defender and a striker, the best players available are deployed in the appropriate role.
Impacts and potential development
At the moment there is not much to do with the national teams: follow the games, competitions and hoping that one of their players are summoned.
Under-20 Championship are planned
One day the national teams will be managed by the users.

A season lasts 16 weeks.

The ranking of the votes is useless for the gameplay. You receive 1 point for each valid vote. Registered users on the site browsermmorpg.com receive 10 points, because their vote is worth 10 in its list of the games
Rules of Behavior
Foosball Manager is a game thought and realized in order to offer fun and relax to players.
Therefore a correct and polite behavior towards all the players is demanded. Any attempt to exploit bugs, transfers to swollen prices or any other activity which can disturb the correct advance of the game will be sanctioned, even with the expulsion from the game itself in the worst cases.
The use of offensive or blasphemous names, or names which recall arguments about politics, religion and anything that might offend someone's sensitivities is forbidden. Administrators can change a name at any time without notice.
Images and Links
Avatar maximum size: 100px x 100px.
Linking pictures and links that contain scenes of violence, racism, pornography, illegal content protected by copyright, adult content or political content is forbidden. The images and links that do not comply with the regulation will be deleted without notice. Insist on uploading images or links unsuitable content can lead to exclusion from the game.
It's forbidden to own or control more than one account. Anyone who brakes this simple rule will be removed from the game without notice.
Chat, Forum and messages
